Description: A refreshing,
melodic style where rock genres collide and the human emotion is
awakened.
Biography: In late 2008,
Brian signed with Lamon, a Grammy award-winning indie label which has
allowed him much room for development and creativity on his debut album
with the help of award-winning producer Dave Moody. Since June 9, 2009 his
album has received radio airplay nationally and among being solicited by
some high profile networks, Brian recently signed a licensing deal for the
film “Much Ado About Middle School” for the song "Never Gonna Need To".
His debut album is blended with such rockin' tracks as “All This
Time” and “I've Got Everything” and softer tracks that have a soothing and
melodic vibe, a truly well-rounded collection of songs that to an
unexpecting ear can take one on a hypnotic ride. “No Complaints” was
Brian's first song written when he was 17. “I was feeling strong emotions
during the time I wrote 'No Complaints' and I think that's what I needed
in order to learn what being a songwriter was all about,” he recollects.
Other tracks on the album include “I'll Be There When I Can” and
the closing track “I Believe” which talks about a common dilemma in
society. “'I Believe' could relate to many different things but I like to
think of a homeless person asking for change...you don't know who's real
and who's fake. I think most of us want to help others but sometimes
hesitate and wonder if it will actually make a difference”, he comments.
Brian's influences grew from a wave of musical acts that made
their way to the mainstream during the past decades. Some of these include
an eclectic variety of performers and bands such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana
and the Eagles. His style began to surface after writing his first song
years later. North Carolina was a haven for his musical inspiration and as
a child he was exposed to oldies, soft rock and southern country at an
early age. “When I was about 3 years old, I was given a kiddie guitar by
my godfather. I ran around the house with it singing 'Johnny B. Goode' and
Elvis songs,” he explains.
Prior to starting an official career as
a pop rock recording artist Brian made his first worldwide TV appearance
on the Gospel Country Network after being discovered by Dottie Snow at a
regional talent convention. Since mid-summer 2009, he has performed on
both large and small stages in support of his album and has gained support
from a growing fan base.
